There will be (1) chaperone per (10) students

All high school students are qualified to join the tour: 9th through 12th graders .

Seniors should bring several copies of their unofficial high school transcript and SAT scores with them. Some schools will waive the application fee for seniors and allow them to fill out applications on- site and submit it, along with their transcript and SAT scores.

Two nurses and an occupational therapist are serving as chaperones on the tour.

The group tour usually begins at the admissions office to meet with the Director or an admissions representative.   The Director or admissions representative conducts an information session detailing the school's admissions criteria. During this time, students have the opportunity to ask questions, receive materials, and either pick up or drop off applications or information about special programs. The campus tour is usually the next portion of the school visit and typically includes a walk through of the campus, classrooms, student unions, and residence halls. Oftentimes, the group meets with students to gain real information on campus life, academics, services, and atmosphere.

Parents/Guardians will be provided with a daily schedule that details the activities of the tour.  A typical day includes breakfast, travel to the college, the actual tour of the college, dinner, and a night stay at a hotel.  The name, address and location of each hotel will also be provided.

Also, parents will be provided with the names and phone numbers of the chaperones that should only be used in case of emergency.

There are a number of factors associated with chaperone selection.  Some of the key factors include occupation, board recommendations, organization affiliations, and community involvement.

Students are financially responsible for souvenirs, and any items acquired during shopping trips. We will visit at least one mall during the tour. School tours usually include a visit to the school’s bookstore.

Students are advised to do research before hand if they are particularly interested in certain schools and should come prepared with specific questions for admissions representatives.

It’s never too early for students and parents to start considering and preparing for college! Generally, a student should begin to visit colleges at any time during high school.  Our mission is to get the kids to think about college early, creating a college roadmap, as soon as they enter high school so they can stay focus throughout their high school years.
